As Ghataprabha river flows over a flat bed of rocks and gushes over them, it falls from a height of 170 feet to form Gokak falls and then flows down through the valley. It is undoubtedly a gorgeous sight during peak monsoon (July- August) when the the river is at its fiercest best and the red muddy water roars over the cliff. Located in Belagavi district of Karnataka, Gokak falls is a 36 km detour from NH-4 at Hidkul cross, near Sankeshwar.
Beautiful water falls.
