On the Road with Asus Zenfone Zoom

I don't believe a DSLR can be substituted with another gadget. However, while riding, taking photographs with a DSLR is quite a task. A small camera which is easy to handle, isn’t clumsy and has good features is ideal to take pictures on the road while riding. What if a phone doubles up as an alternate for a DSLR with numerous excellent features? Asus Zenfone Zoom fits the bill perfect.

The impressive features of Asus #ZenFoneZoom:
  • World thinnest 3X optical Zoom, total 12X Zoom
  • 4GB RAM, Intel PC level performance
  • 13MP Laser Auto focus camera
  • 4 Stops Optical Image Stabilization (OIS)
  • 10P HOYA Lens

It was a wonderful experience to explore Asus Zenfone Zoom while riding the Bangalore- Hyderabad highway. The expansive smooth roads, barren brown landscape and the intermittent greenery were beautifully captured with the 13 MP camera and its 12X zoom.  Despite its size with a 5.5 inch screen and 185 gm weight, it fit well into my pocket. Was easy to handle, frame, click and place it back into the pocket. Another impressive factor was that Corning Gorilla glass 4 and the leather back cover helps avoid scratches, which are highly likely to happen while photographing during a ride due to rough handling.

This pocket DSLR is an ideal camera phone to take along if you intend to travel light while riding and backpacking. Am sure you will not miss your DSLR.

P.S. – I was given an Asus Zenfone Zoom for a review; however the opinions are my own.

These include Lory Loft (has an Australian outback theme), Penguin Coast (houses more than a 100 penguins), Pelican Cove (a wide range of Pelicans can be seen here), Wings of Asia (numerous Asian avian fauna are bred here, including many threatened species) and many more.
